Thank you for shopping with K-Citizen! We want you to love your purchase. Because we do things a little differently to protect the environment, please review our guidelines below before completing your purchase or initiating a return.

Mindful Production, Exclusive Design

K-Citizen is an independent online space offering Korean culture-inspired products, featuring exclusive designs created by our team.

To ensure maximum quality and minimize environmental waste, each product is printed on demand, one at a time, specifically for you! While this thoughtful process means your order might take just a bit longer to arrive, it ensures you receive a highly unique piece that you won't find anywhere else.

Why All Sales Are Final

By choosing print-on-demand over massive warehouse inventory, we drastically reduce our carbon footprint and prevent unused clothing from ending up in landfills. Because your item is custom-made for your order, it cannot be restocked or resold to anyone else.

For this reason, our 30-day guarantee covers manufacturing defects or shipping errors only. We kindly ask that you take an extra moment to check our size guides before placing your order so your custom piece fits perfectly!

How to Request a Return or Refund

If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect, damage, or is the wrong item entirely, please follow these steps:

1. Email us at hello@k-citizen.com within 30 days of your delivery date.

2. Include the following in your email:

    • A clear description of the issue
    • Photos and/or video showing the full item and a close-up of the defect or damage
    • Your order confirmation or proof of purchase

3. Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days with next steps, including whether we need the item returned and where to send it.

4. Please wait for our instructions before sending anything back. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.

5. Once we receive and inspect the item (if a return is required), we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, a full refund — including your original shipping cost — will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note: your bank or credit card company may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

Return Eligibility & Timeline

Our return policy lasts 30 days from the date you receive your item. If 30 days have passed since delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused.
  • In its original packaging with all tags intact and attached.
  • Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.

Non-Returnable Items:

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Sale and event items
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable digital products

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We take quality seriously. If there is an issue with your order, we want to make it right.

  • Defective / Damaged Items: We offer a 30-day guarantee on manufacturing defects. Please email us with photo/video proof of the defect. If verified, we will issue a full refund, including original shipping costs.
  • Wrong Item/Size Received: If we accidentally sent you the wrong item or size, please let us know. We will issue a full refund (including shipping). If we request that you return the incorrect item, it must be sent back in pristine, unworn condition.

Wrong or Incomplete Shipping Address:

Please double-check your shipping address carefully before completing your order. If you notice an error after placing your order, email us immediately at hello@k-citizen.com. We will do our best to update it if your order has not yet entered production, though we cannot guarantee changes once processing has begun.

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided at checkout, you will be responsible for the reshipping fee. We will contact you once the package arrives back with us to arrange redelivery.

If a package is successfully delivered to an incorrectly entered address and is not returned to us by the carrier, K-Citizen cannot recover the items or issue a refund or replacement.

Undeliverable & Returned Package:

If your package is returned to our fulfillment center for reasons within your control — such as an unclaimed shipment, failed delivery attempts, or an incorrect address — we will reach out by email to let you know. You will have two options:

  • Reship: We will send it back out to you, and a reshipping fee will apply.
  • No action: If you prefer not to reship, or if we do not hear back from you within 14 days, the item will be donated to a local charity. Please note that refunds are not available in these cases, as your item was custom-made specifically for you.

If a package is returned due to a carrier or fulfillment error on our end, we will take full responsibility — either by reshipping at no cost to you or issuing a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Shipments:

Once your order has been handed to the shipping carrier, it is in their care. We will send you a tracking number as soon as your order ships so you can follow its journey every step of the way.

If your package appears lost, stolen, or significantly delayed, we recommend:

  • Waiting 24–48 hours, as carriers occasionally mark packages as delivered slightly early
  • Checking with neighbors, building management, or your local post office
  • Filing a missing package claim directly with the shipping carrier using your tracking number

Unfortunately, once a package has been handed to the carrier, K-Citizen is not able to take financial responsibility for what happens in transit, as this is outside of our control. We appreciate your understanding.

Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you need a different size or color, please return your original item for a refund (if eligible) and place a new order online.
